The Business, Computing and Games Conference encompasses the following courses: Business Management, Computing, Games Development. Students who sign up to the Computing session will visit DigiTech on the day of the conference. This Conference is open to all year 12 students.

Subjects

Experience the state-of-the-art £9.6million DigiTech Centre at the University of Suffolk. Y12 college and school pupils from across Suffolk, Essex and Norfolk are invited to attend a full-day event exploring the futures of cyber security, artificial intelligence, software engineering, networking and more with hands-on stations and activities. Visit our Cyber Security Range and see our digital forensic equipment (the same equipment used by law enforcement), our Smart House fitted with 100s of sensors and our £100,000+ artificial intelligence server capable of processing massive datasets. Throughout the event, you’ll gain an understanding of the different technology careers available and have an opportunity to speak with technology experts with years of both research and industry experience.

Uncover the magic behind game creation with workshops in Unreal Engine, Unity, and non-digital game design. Get hands-on and explore various aspects of this exciting field.

Who Should Attend?

Year 12 college students with a passion for gaming, a desire to design, or an interest in esports. This event is tailored just for you.

Digital Business Innovation - With most of our communications in modern society being digital we use this interactive workshop to come up with business ideas that utilise the digital market. You’ve all seen the videos on Tiktok.. ‘Be mortgage free at 25 and work from anywhere in the world’… This creative session comes up with digital business ideas to make that possible.
