Sharon Crowle

Visiting Senior Fellow in Nursing

School/Directorate
School of Nursing, Midwifery and Public Health

Sharon has been nursing in the NHS for over twenty-five years, starting her career in staff nurse positions in both surgical and medical areas. Sharon always had a passion for making a difference in patient care and recognised the importance and influence of education from early in her career.

Sharon enjoyed different career opportunities, including varying posts such as Infection Control and Women’s Health, which led to a Senior Nurse opportunity in Women’s Health covering inpatient and outpatient services. Education always had a pull for Sharon, and she worked as Head of Education and Practice Development at James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for many years and spread her work nationally with the NMC and regionally with HEE, developing several initiatives such as the health and care academy and scholarships opening doors to individuals into health and social care.

Sharon now works for Norfolk and Waveney health and care system as Head of Professional Education, Training and Development, which allows Sharon to work across the system on a range of education and transformation initiatives.
